In a place that is open to the public the areas where food is prepared and cooked are usually off limits. Normally only the staff can access them. We right from the beginning on the other hand have always been against this belief relying on the fact that in Tuscan farms the kitchen has always been the heart of the home.
It was with this concept of the heart in mind that we created the kitchen in Villa Ferraia, open to all guests that want to share with us those emotions that only a certain type of food and how it is cooked can offer.
Thanks to the hard work over the years Patrizia has brought together not only the recipes that have been handed down in her traditional Siena family from but also those that are typical of the surrounding area that has such rich biodiversity, environmental variety and above all and cultural and gastronomical roots.
Tagliatelle, ravioli and gnocchi are all rigorously homemade and enhanced by the produce from our vegetable garden. Roast or grilled meats and traditional desserts are just a small part of our menu. We gladly prepare vegetarian and vegan menus or those to suit people with special intolerances and allergies.
